No mud flaps, and a cool sticker.
my minitruck is a VW caddy. It needed a motor and the bed was rotted out....... well a quick motor swap and some panel repairs has now turned into a even bigger motor swap, custom rear frame, and 3/4 link suspension. I'm stuck on 3 link or triangulated 4 link, I want the Triangulated 4 link but the gas tank gets in the way.

For sure a few videos of @Norilsk working on his truck will be far more interesting than anything on Youtube!

Very cool stuff. And is this happening on the second gen taco? Or do you have another taco?

for the second gens generally you have to remove the tank. Gets in the way.

All this talk about all the cool stuff you guys got going on with your rigs and I’m over here excited to get an exhaust that is quiet and a practical truck bed :notsure:

It's pretty easy, remove tailgate, remove tail lights and all bolts behind it remove all hinges and everything you can see including filler neck, unbolt bed and you can shift bed around to remove 5 bolts from the other side of the bed.

So it was my first time fitting fiberglass, overall not too bad. I do have some beef with McNeil Racing fiberglass fenders. Everyone talk high about them and the company but my experience so far is shit.

    • Absolutely no communication, didn't send me tracking information or any updates. I found out whereabouts of the package through a broker when it was already in Sarnia...
    • On the website it says pre-marked holes, where are those?!? If it's like on the picture below, it doesn't even overlaps with where it needs to be mounted! Which Hombre fucked up my bed sides and few spots on the front fenders I wonder. See pictures
    • Didn't ship front bumper caps, I emailed them let's see the outcome.
    • Overall I would not recommend McNeil fiberglass, customer service is shit, mounting points are effy, overall fenders feel beefy but time will tell...

P.S. anyone can point me in a direction of who can help me with painting those fenders? Just want to paint them in white to avoid yellowing over time.

My current tacoma is a 2nd gen. I like dreaming big, and i just got access to some awesome 3d rendering software, and am currently out of work. On top of that because of the project car i have spent waaaaay too long reading up on rear suspension designs. It basically boils down to I'm making sure im never going to be financially stable.... but all my trucks will be badass

But actually if i get a solid enough 4 link design, a buddy might put it in his truck out in BC

Bolts + or a fastenal may be your best bet. If not a Napa or auto parts store will have them. Think that is where I got mine.

Just checked. Fastenal has them at their warehouse if you order. Takes a couple of days to arrive at your local branch. Need a business acct though.

Ok cool. As soon as I take a look at the cab bolts I'll order some.

Think the cab mount bolts are threaded through the cab and nut tied underneath. May want to look at new bushings all around from energy. May be $150 for all the mounts. The radiator mounts on mine were toast.

It's not, but it has on the bolt head edges that lock in place when you spin inside the cab.
