Did you end up going with that Amazon link that was provided a few pages back?

I just spent the last ~4 days repainting my bed rack as well, so Ill probably be needed something similar to get my tent back on the truck by myself without effing it all up

Yes, but i got the two pack. I think two 8x12 sheets will be plenty. The circumference of my 1.75" tube is ~6" . If i cut the 12" in half I should have enough for 4.

...But wow, the Fire Wave itself was extremely cool. Set on the edge of a sandstone monolith that rose out of the surrounding landscape, the pattern was discernable and nothing special from above. But, by moving just a few dozen feet down, into the wave itself, the perspective changed into a magical swoosh that we sat and enjoyed for longer than I think either of us planned...

So I just purchased a Tuff Stuff ranger RTT with the annex. Im super excited! Next I need to get a bed rack and I have a few questions. We have a large dog that is going to be sleeping in the annex so we need it for sure. I took some measurements off my truck and with a mid height rack the tent will be about 66" off the ground. Would I still be able to use my annex at that height? I much prefer a mid cab height rack. If I got with a full size 18" rack that would put the tent at 74" and the annex would be fine but Im not sure I need a full height rack.

Is there a way to shorten the annex? Am I able to run a mid height bed rack and still use my annex? What would you guys do?

    Dilemma.
To fully utilize the annex, cab height is needed.
You could still try with a mid height rack but what a mess with all the extra fabric gathering at the bottom. So to answer your question you’ll need the full size rack to make the best use of the annex for Fido.
Mid height rack makes a great overall package with the RTT so the other option would be to gather and fasten the annex fabric from above or cut down the bottom portion to fit.

I wonder if I could roll the fabric at the top before I zip it in place on the bottom of the tent. or maybe have a fabric shop shorten it or something. Anyone ever done this before? Looks like I need to find a way to shorten my annex bc I really want to stick with a mid height rack. Any suggestions from anyone are welcome. Thanks

Instead of cutting it maybe you could fold in the extra material so it’s the correct height have some buckles or Velcro steals sewn in which would keep at that height? Unless you’re planning on never changing setups and don’t mind having the annex permanently altered then it might be easier to just take it to a fabric shop and see if they can alter it

If someone makes a lower annex that’s compatible with the tuff stuff ranger tent that would be awesome. I know a lot of these tents have almost identical dimensions

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
I went through the same dilemma as you. Put my annex on a mid height bed rack. It works, as long as it doesn't rain. If it rains, you're have a bad time waking up to puddles and a mess.

23Zero makes short height annexes, and I posted about a few months ago and almost went for one. They didn't make a short height annex for the same size as my CVT, but if your dimensions are they same as the one they make that they do have a short height annex, it could be done if everything else lines up.

I looked at all the possible ways to shorten my existing annex and never went forward with any of them for various reasons. Instead I ordered an ARE cap that is supposed to come in next week and I'll be selling my KBVooDoo short height rack and Diamondback cover after that.
