2016 taco off road

UCA/LCA/DSC upgrades, rear leaf, rear shock upgrade, LED, K&N, trim, bed mods

I installed a K&N cold ai4 intake model #63 to day, and have a question
The mounting studs that are for the filter box/shield DO NOT thread al the way down onto the fender well. I tried like hell to get them to ‘bottom out’ but they only threaded down ~1\2 way.
couldn’t do much with the rubber bushings with the embedded thread bolt in to the fender well.
Any other experience with this?.
