Ya know that crazy little storage cubby in the dash just to the left of the steering wheel? My wife's Land Cruiser has a "card holder" in the same basic spot where you can fit "1" (yes I believe it is just "1") card. I guess its supposed to be a fuel card or something - never could really figure the cubby or the slot out o_O

I know the coolest solution is to find some electronics that need toggle switches and get them installed there with another @MESO mod, but while I'm building up gumption to do that - a friend of mine got a 3D Printer and printed up a little drawer for the slot. Still not sure what I'd put in it, but it's kinda cool. And yes, my CupHolderHero liner fits in it

I wonder if this bubble on the rubber charging pad is due to heat creation when charging phones? I've noticed some qi chargers would heat up my phone or maybe the heat generated is coming from the cellphone battery and then the battery starts to bloat needing a change out

    1. Could have sworn I had a marble or a bolt rolling around in my driver's door
    2. I've had a box of knock-off dynamat sitting in the garage for about 10 years
    3. The weather was epic
So... wanting to knock down the to-do list a bit, get rid of some of my crap, and get out of the house; I pulled the door panel and started playing. I didn't find anything rolling around in there, but while it was apart, I stuck some sound deadening mat on the door. I'd post photos, but I'd only be opening up my self to ridicule as it was quite the patchwork and far from a work of art.

Of course in doing this, I noticed how flimsy the stock speakers actually are. I did the Subaru Tweeter swap a while back, so I rang up old Crutchfield and ordered a set of kicker replacement speakers. Guess I'll have another mod waiting for me in the mail soon. But that's okay... while trying to use up my old sound deadening material, I could only get 3 doors done. Bet you don't know who logged into Amazon to order up more dyna-knock-off to store in the garage :goingcrazy:

I thought about this too. I'm pretty sure though that I had the charger turned off because I had trouble charging my phone with the stock pad, Phone case, and the CupHolderHero liner. And then maybe it was a combination of all 3 things. Anyway... I'll post again if my bubble returns "sans CupHolderHero".

Since I blacked out the chrome the stock TRD sticker was looking out of place, to much like chrome

Plus the outline of the clear part made the stock sticker look cheap to me, it should have die cut instead.

Agree 100% - the stock can look kind cheap and your new ones look awesome. I like the subtle approach. I might have gotten a little carried away when I wanted to replace mine. Might even need to revisit your approach after a while

I decided to use another day of quarantine to engage in another battle in the war against fake chrome. I shot the bumper caps with 7 coats of Plasti-Dip which I think turned out pretty good. I’m still undecided on the black vs swapping out the caps with color match.

The truck is only two days old, but I had to do something. Put on some Redline hood struts.

Put my winter wheels and tires away and put the summer setup on. Next I need to get my new tires mounted.
