I have been out of my garage for nearly 3 years because of other hobbies but this pandemic has me isolated and back into my garage. So I figured I would share some of my work along the way. I have been into various automotive scenes and motorsports for nearly 20 years now and about a year ago I picked up a used 2015 Tacoma mostly to support my outdoor lifestyle.

I think a couple of days after picking up the truck I found an ARE camper shell for sale in Los Angeles. I called the guy up and he just so happened to be passing through Vegas so he dropped it off for me.

Fast forward a year to today and me bored on a computer with a garage full of equipment has me itching to tick off a few items on my list of upgrades I've wanted. I found a Pelfrey built front bumper for an early second gen Tacoma along with a Baja Design light bar for a pretty good price so I swooped it up. This is basically when everything snowballed and parts were ordered (more on this later)....

But before I do anything. I needed to add the hydraulic ram to my bender since I've lost the holes I had previously drilled for the bender stand.

With the bender complete I figured that I would take a stab at making some rock sliders since I had a bunch of tubes laying around from a previous job. However, I am still being stingy with the tubing because I want enough left over to build a roll cage for my other project. I CADed up a design real quick so I had an idea on dimensions so I didn't have to measure and cut a million times...

I mocked the sliders onto the truck to get an idea how it would look once on the car before I decided to make the second piece.

Anyways...that's it for now. I hope to have the sliders done in the next week or so as I wait for parts to come in.
