3rd Gen Tacoma Driver’s Side Grab Handle - CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION

Although he did a good job and the balls to do it, a better idea could have been drilling a hole on the handle, as there is a lot more room to play with. But is seems like he didn't care much about details and he just wanted a handle on the drivers side.

 

Any updates on the ETA of this product?????

Its been 4 months since i paid, when should i expect my product?

 

Well there was quite a shutdown in China so I'm guessing after they fire things back up.

 

Find Katie’s (ktjo4x4) posts and skip through those. She’s been pretty upfront about delays with fabrication and China. My guess is another month or two.

 

I think that's probably optimistic. I think she had indicated it takes a month or two in shipping time alone. I'm not really expecting to see the product for maybe another 6 months if I'm lucky.

 

Split the difference and call it 4 months? I’ll stay on the optimistic side.

UPDATE:

Friday I went over the final specs with the engineer as he is putting the final touches on the grab handle now before it goes to print.



Soon it will be on its way to me and I will hopefully be giving the final green light to go into production.

@KTJO 4x4 Do we have a update for the rear grab handles?

 

I can’t ship to them yet because customs will put a hold on my items so I’m in limbo which is frustrating because I have a lot of items I need to get to them. So until our current situations gets better, it’s pretty much a one sided street.

My guess.... At least a week or two until KTJO gets the latest prototype in her hands for test fitting. Then 4 to 6 weeks for production after KTJO gives the green light to proceed. Then they are loaded on the speedboat for shipping. They do use hydroplanes don't they? Expect delivery around Labor Day, if all goes well.

 

so it looks like itll be about october if i read the posts fight before we see deliveries of these grab handles. is that a correct guesstament?

 

I'm simply looking at prior posts and coming up with what I think seems likely. I'd always be happy to to take delivery of mine on Memorial Day or the 4th of July. But I'm not expecting that.
