I just registered a used 2015 Tacoma on my Toyota Owners forum , Had more information than Car fax .
My used Tacoma had a visit to the local dealer where the truck was sold and had the tires replaced at 8k , truck only has 16k on it so not may miles since they replaced in 2016
The dealer service listed tire rot for replacement reason .
The original spare is a Dunlop Grandtrek , Toyota cheapen out on replacing the spare tire and put a nice sticker that said “ Temp Use Only “ ... LOL
They replaced the Grandtreks with Coopers , there still in good shape may pickup a spare set tires wheels for the winter and go 265’s
Any one else have tire rot ?

I had a right rear Dunlop GrandTrek blow out on me at 36K. I do mostly hwy driving at 65-70 mph. No snow/ice/marginal rain.
When that happened I ditched all 4 of those tires for something else. Tire shop didn't see anything obvious that caused the problem.

As a spare, I suppose the GT might work, but if it were my truck, I'd get rid of it. Just my 2 cents.

The Grandtreks were on my 2006 when I drove it off the lot. They were the worst set of tires I have ever had on any vehicle...ever. I took them off at just over 10,000 miles when I got stuck in a field....on the level. I cant believe Toyota is still putting those $hit tires on ANY vehicle that they make. If I was buying new today those Grandtreks would be a deal breaker. They would have to change them out before I'd buy anything.
