Mat has claimed that he won't be making files for dongle users for 2.0 and you will have to convert from dongle to dongleless. I'm in that same boat so I think that's why people are waiting to hear back about the conversion process so they can flash 2.0 when it comes out.

I actually ASSUME based the above message that there will not be a dongle 2.0, and that we will have to switch before receiving 2.0.

That is just my interpretation of what was said, I have no idea if that is reality.

Dang it! I must of missed that detail. I thought because there were 2.0 BETA PCM files that this was the last drop for dongle users. If you are correct, then I need to submit a ticket and wait. I was all excited for nothing....man! :anonymous:

Anyone ever experience inability to start right after a flash? I’ve flashed probably ten times and right after the latest flash, when I went to start the car, it kept turning over but wouldn’t start and it kept trying to start until I pushed the button to stop the starter. Then I tried again and it started right up—- was weird

You have to turn it off. Then try to start

if you don’t turn it off after flashing, it’ll do as you describe

The 04B04 only release is “for test and review” purposes. Based on what Mat has told us about his production methods I understand it to mean that he has a finished product and if it shakes out ok in a final test he’ll finalize and release the rest when he’s ready. :)

Not bitching, but not happy that the earliest users now have to wait to get a dongleless instruction and registration because of some asshole(s) who can't be patient.

I was hoping most of the rest of us haven't been as bitchy, but I guess they have and those who have been patient get to pay the price.

Thanks for nothing to the asshole(s).

Edit - For those wondering, no, there is no irony in my complaining about waiting because others couldn't. If Mat had decided to change to an all software version I would have been happy to do so. Having it happen as a result of a kindergarten reaction to the progress is what gets me.

Well, it's the difference between bitching at Mat and bitching at the assholes who have no patience.

I for one am really hoping Mat will make PCM files for us dongle guys. I will happily wait a little longer to keep my dongle and my faultless flashing system/method. I have never had a single issue flashing any tune using the OG dongle method. Never once reset parameters or any of that. Just flash, idle, drive!!! No weirdness ever. As a die hard Mac user, setting up windows stuff isn’t first nature so having to relearn a system sucks haha guess I’m getting old! Also with the time it takes for people to get authorizations and stuff I’m worried it could be weeks or months to actually exchange the dongle and all that once that’s actually an option. Have high hopes though! Looking forward to see all this play out.
