First time tire purchase for my Tacoma

Good morning/afternoon /evening depending on your timezone
I have had my 2014 Trd Prerunner for a while now and it's about time to buy some tires.
My truck is my daily driver as well as my adventure machine. I want a good balance between offroad performance, as well as reasonable street comfort as I do put a lot of highway miles on it. I've been looking at Goodyear wranglers and BFG ko2s. And I was also looking to put larger tires on my stock alloy rims. Hybrids, all terrains, mud tires, what should I get? What do you guys recommend. And how big can I safely go on a stock truck?

Tl;Dr: need tires and want bigger ones as well as offroady ones. I Do lots of highway driving but like to romp it through the desert. Thoughts?
