burnt fan motor plug

    wheels and tires
    I have read all the info on replacing the housing connector and wiring..which i have done before...(it burnt up again).someone mentioned another part that also has to be replaced to prvent it from happing again....any help would be great...im new to the forum..

    The factory fix consists of replacing the resistor, connector and has pigtail to the fan motor of heavier gauge wires. Additionally others have reported issues in the connector itself at the motor. I have done this fix twice and each time there was high resistance being created on the connector at the resistor plug. Its a GM system and the connector has weak contact pressure on the terminals. A number GM trucks share the same woes and an ACDelco kit was created for them but also can be used on our trucks. Or you can get dealer stuff.
