2017 Tacoma Sport / short cab

Hey dudes. Right after getting my Tacoma I changed out all the speakers. Oddly after buying a used Prius I’m amazed at the sound system. With that being said my Tacoma, even with the new speakers, isn’t loud enough for me.

Any recommendations on what to do? Where to put an amp or subwoofer. I don’t need a lot of bass

 

Some people have just put a kicker key to the existing set up or just an after market head unit has work for them?

My guess you need a new headunit/amp with more power to drive the new speakers.

 

Kind of sucks to have to change the head unit .. it’s pretty nice. I could get a new head unit that has Waze on it. I prefer that navigation
