OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

I’ll take those number for base! I had been holding out to see what the supercharger folks were going to come up with, but it’s looking like the kits alone are going to be fairly high. Add on tuning and it starts to get painful. If the numbers were comparable to Mat’s base, I’d still consider it... but honestly the price differential might put me back to the turbos.

 

If I was buying I'd for sure install myself.

I will be doing my own install. Whether I'm going to have a shop or not to do it in is tbd.

 

Doing it myself, probably in over my head. Looking forward to seeing the install guide he is putting together, hopefully it’s full of pictures.

 

Most modders on this sight will find it a fairly easy install.

 

@OVTune I would like to know, and I am sure others would too, what the "low boost" PowerMax Option # 2 kit would produce when tuned to 15 psi, which is the max without going Option # 4. That would make rationalizing the step up from base easier. I am sure its a lot more than an extra 50 hp when comparing the base kit vs. PowerMax 9.5 psi low boost.

They will be investment cast. (already in progress).

Quick question about VF Tuner. I notice that you keep referring to "example tunes". Would these tunes be able to run the turbos daily without any issues? I am definitely not knowledgeable when it comes to tuning a car and would terrified if I had to change anything in the tune for fear of the engine blowing up.

 

Our example boost tunes will be safe to use out of the box.

if you want a kit, base or powermax, putting in a deposit for your manifolds will reserve your spot.
There will be a limit.
