Hanoi Hannah

Is there anyone here who remember listening to her in Vietnam. She was like Tokyo Rose in WW11

 

world war 11? Holy crap! I thought there were only 2.

 

Funny. No kidding does anyone remember Hanoi Hannah and her radio show . How she was telling us that we are loosing the war. Funny stuff.

 

I used to listen to her while flying AMT (airborne maint. tech.) on our RC135's either over Northern Gulf of Tonkin, or over Northern Laos (to the west of Hanoi).
They played better American music than Armed forces radio. If nothing was broken/breaking in the backend (of the plane) while on "station" we could "stand-by".
Actually I many times would go up front and sit in the Pilot or co-pilots seat as one of them was taking a rest period. At least, up there you had a better view of the world

 

Cool story thanks. I heard her say they had sunk our ship . News to us. We listened to her off the Mekong delta in. The evening, She named names and dear John letters were read by her. They had a lot of personal info. About us. We had P5M sea plane opps . All i remember now are the good times and even they are fuzzy.
