[SOLD] FS: Kicker 46CSC6934 6x9’s and Subaru Tweeters

As seen on the very popular Premium Audio Upgrade for less than $250, I am selling:

• Kicker 46CSC6934 6"x9" 3-way car speakers, including:
  • Metra 82-8146 Speaker Mounting Brackets
  • Metra 72-8104 Speaker Wiring Harnesses
• $100 Subaru Genuine Tweeter Kit Kicker WRX STi Forester Crosstrek Impreza H631SFJ101
  Genuine Subaru H631SFJ101 Tweeter Kit (1 Pair)

These were installed and responsibly used for approximately 2 months. I later upgraded to component speakers.

The Metra brackets are notoriously difficult to align and mount to the 6x9 speakers, so I have left them connected for your convenience. There is a strip of 1/8” foam between the speaker and bracket for a secure fit. There is also a strip of foam along the outermost edge of the speaker for a rattle free seal with the door card.

No issues/defects/problems that I am aware of. Take off a few panels, plug them in, and you are good to go.

Both for $125 plus half of shipping from Idaho to the contiguous 48 only.

Which component speakers did you switch to? What kind of difference did you notice in sound quality from these to your new comps?

 

The first set I used were the Kicker KS components. They are a really good value and sound great. I swapped those out only because I got a good deal on a pair of Focal PS 165F's. The Focals are just outstanding.

There really is no comparison with coaxials and components. The improvement in sound stage and quality is night and day. I am running them active with the Key180.4, so I also have the benefit of time alignment and EQ. If you are on the fence at all, I would absolutely go for components. (Just realize that most components will sound much better with an amp of any size compared to stock HU power.)
