I joined the forum awhile back, mainly just to read about maintenance about my parents PreRunner

They got an 02 PreRunner with the V6 engine.

Right now the truck sits on Michelin LTXs tires. But they are wanting something with a more aggressive tire pattern.

What's the biggest size that fits on the OEM rim without any rub. Truck is completely OEM

They saw a Ford truck with Nitto trail Grappler , but I just saw those on Nitto.com and the smallest they come with are 285/70/16s. Will they fit?

Will a 265/75R16 fit in there? The Road Venture MT KL71

    Any help will be appreciated

    Thanks

This exact subject has been covered a good 50 times on this site, all you have to do is search to get more info than you can handle.

Since Im nice, largest you'll fit is 265/75/16 on a stock truck. You will still have a tiny bit of rubbing on the frame at full lock.

285s will rub and will absolutely not fit without a lift. 265s will be perfect

I have the 265/75/16s and I would recommend the Kumho's; I am very happy with them :) like steve o 77 said, I have a tiny bit of rubbing at full lock with front mud flaps off.

No need to go with MTs if they dont need them.

MTs = worse gas milage and louder

Look into an agressive AT, like Cooper ST or Goodyear Duratrac

Mine aren't loud at all, but do have a little hum on the highway(which I like).

as for gas mileage I don't really pay attention
