Maybe this is a dumb question (I'm full of 'em!) but I'm at a sticking point in this stereo upgrade project.

Im changing out a stock AM/FM/CD tuner for a Jensen that does AM/FM/CD/DVD/Camera/NAV/Aux Aud/Aux Vid- using a Scosche harness and faceplate/hardware.

Though the Jensen's wires are labled, the harness's are not! How do I know what labled Jensen wire to connect to what UNLABLED harness wire?

Since there's obviously more wires coming out of the Jensen than were going in to the Toyota stereo, there's more to this than just a pairing-up of color matched wires...

Anyone have a link for an '08 Tacoma stereo wiring diagram- searches here just get me posts that say to use a wiring harness which brings me back to that first point...the Tacoma's stereo wires arent labled so I dont know what each wire on the harness is for.

I've done like 5 different installs with scoshe harnesses, they are hard to read but they should be labeled in fine print on the wires, yours doesn't have this at all?

it might, I hadnt looked that hard. I'll see if it's there.

Either way, I found a wiring diagram of sorts that seems to cover all the wires coming out of the head unit so I at least know what those are. Still have to figure out the "Parking Brake" wire solution...seems I saw a thread on that here somewhere....

    Follow Up:
Jensen VM9214 single-DIN HU installed without any troubles. Turned out that the Scosche harness was actually labled and when coupled with the stereo's wiring diagram it was a simple hook up.

The Jensen plugged into a Scosche single-din + pocket faceplate. I grounded out the parking brake wire so it'll play video any time. (WOW is that distracting while im driving! LOL).

Soon I'll be carving out the "pocket" to make a slot for the Cobra 148 CB radio. There's space in there but the the faceplate will need some surgury...

While it's all opened up for that operation, I'll be connecting a rear-view camera and making a dash port to plug in the AUX AUD and VID. The HU has a front mounted USB and Aux A/V port but also has the JVC connectors in the back. I'll extend those to a dash-mounted panel somewhere under the AC controls for plugging in either another camera, monitor or media player.

Also, I'll be wiring in a power cord for my HP Anywhere Map GPS (combination highwway and aviation GPS) and for the radar detector over the rear view mirror.

Lastly, I'll be remoting a separate 110v converter, putting the two otlets in the lower dash, just above the cup holders along with two USB power ports to compliment the two existing 12v power ports. I just might throw in some cupholder LEDs while I'm in there too...

I try to take pictures of the whole process and post 'em if anyone's interested.
