I have the smaller version of that one, the 8" p300 and it fits in my rear cubby with minor modification cutting out the plastic storage ledge in the bin.

Yeah I don’t have that bin and I like it slides right in... wish I could hear a kicker hideaway 10”. Not sure if the 8 is enough bass for me.

I just got it and it does not really fit in a 3rd gen in the large bin area. The seat won't close due to the box is too tall and you have to remove the useless hooks also. I can take picture tomorrow, but it barely just doesn't fit.

Yeah I would assume you have to remove the entire bin panel. I was going to put it on the driver side and remove that back panel/bin.

it won’t fit behind the drivers side. That was my plan. It fits on the rear passenger side with the bin removed. I am thinking about getting a ********* box and transfer the contents from the Fosgate box to the ********* box

So just to confirm guys, We are saying that just the 8-inch version will fit? Even with the bins removed?? If you take out the bins and bend back the hooks do you think you could make the 10-inch one fit?? And if not, how does the 8-inch one sound? Thanks for the info guys, really interested in this setup.

Any update to this? I had the 10" powered sub and the 12" version in two different jeeps and they sounded great. I would really like to make one of these fit on the pass. side of my 3rd gen sprt.

I have that also. It's hooked to the factory JBL head unit.

Best I remember 2 ohm. It'll thump fairly well being driven by a 1,000 watts.

Y’all should have just searched and ya boi has all covered as posted up above ! 8” powered sub installed in bins behind rear passenger seats last year by bestbuy right before COVID.
Cut the little inside bin portion. Linking to thread if I can find bc I did great pics and write up with labeling. Little more detailed write up here with pics. Best I could do as nobody else really captured the bin situation too detailed.

The 8" fits on the drivers side without the plastic bin. The 10" does not fit. I ordered the 10 first and tried every conceivable option before returning for a 8. It fit nice and snug and also thump fairly well. It will not win any contests or anything but enough for a 40 year old that still likes some damn bass!

I will verify this assessment. After taking the panel out and removing the back seat cover, the box was too tall for the seat to latch back. I have the p300-10. Wouldn't fit.

I have the 8" behind my passenger seat currently - and I'm happy for now but definitely looking for a bit more eventually. Reading that it can fit behind the driver's back seat as well, could you run two of these off the same power and signal line, or would you have to run additional lines?

Maybe I should stop trying to tip toe and just go the custom box route.
