What prompted you to take off the fenders and paint them on? It looks sick. And how did you get the shape so spot on?

Passenger rear was in a accident before I got it and the shop glued and bolted the flare back on instead of using the clips. So when I went to trim it took off a bunch of paint and looked really bad.
I used a jigsaw to make the cuts and a grinder with a worn flap disc to smooth everything. It's not perfect and definitely a 10ft truck. I still have the flares and have been contemplating bolting them on but Im indecisive.
Also the truck looked kinda funky without the black and without the flares.

Question for you guys, been thinking of pulling my fender flares and doing some trimming. I really like how you guys painted black around the edges of your fenders, it almost makes em look like you have bushwhackers. What was the process to get such a good outline and also what did you use? Bedliner? Paint? Thanks.

I used raptor liner and just blue masking tape, it isn't perfect and it's more of a 10ft paint job. But it's good enough for me.

Follow up question, what kind of prep did you do to the fender and paint before you applied the bedliner aside from the masking tape? Any sanding?

I think I sanded with 160 grit and just cleaned it really good. If you have bare metal or rust you need to take care of that before.
