Orange Peel Paint?

This right here. In my experiences, it’s not luck of the draw. Until you get into higher end automobiles, they will all have orange peel. You’ll need to wet sand and buff to clean it up.

The only car I have owned that came from the factory with perfect paint, was a black 2017 E63 AMG. I spent a solid day cleaning and perfecting that paint as well. It was pretty amazing.

 

For what it's worth. I have seen orange peel on Tundras that is much worse than on Tacomas. When I bought my Tacoma, I also really checked out the Tundras. Almost all new vehicles have orange peel. Just apply the five feet rule....If you can't see the defect at five feet, it isn't there.

 

pretty much every base production car is going to have orange peel, unless its a show car that's been cut and polished to perfection or a koenigsegg or something that doesn't get mass produced and isn't built by robots. Shit even high end cars ive seen at auto shows have orange peel.
