I'm getting a bumper made with a winch mount in it. What size should the winch mount be to fit either a 12K Badlands Winch or a Smittybilt 9500 winch?

I have an engo 9000 lb winch. Pulls my truck with ease. I think a 12k winch is overkill.

I'm leaning towards the Smittybilt since I can get it fairly easy but my friend has a new Badlands 12k winch that he will sell me

Does the Smitty have a synthetic line? They are so much easier to work with + lighter. Depends on the price difference mostly tho

I'm looking for measurements for a universal mount so I could be anything on it and no I'm looking for a budget winch since I will rarely use it but still want it because I am 2wd

Well either of those winches will work for you. Remember you'll want a few things to go with the winch.
Tree saver, 3/4 bow shackles (at least 2), gloves, snatch block, and a line damper or blanket

Doesn't hurt to have an extra tow strap or two

    So....

It looks like you are looking for the measurements for mounting those two winches correct?

Cuz that's what your initial post says, and you have repeated. o_O

Sorry, I don't know those measurements but I sure do hope someone does and they can answer your question. :annoyed::bananadead:

I can, however, give a non-answer to your question. You can't mount 33"s without a lift! :duh:

Oh jeeze I'm sorry I thought you were asking what size winch (payload capacity) would work with your truck, not what size the mounting template is. Should not TW late at night while inebriated.

A standard winch will have mounting bolt dimensions of 10"x 4.5"
