I’ve been trying to figure out my brake problem on the truck for a month now. The pedal falls through and barely brakes. I changed the master cylinder, brake booster, and bleed the system several times. I bleed the new masters cylinder before install. I got the master cylinder off of Amazon could that be the problem?

Have you checked the entire system? Are you losing fluid in the reservoir? If so, there is a leak. If not then its a pressure issue. Either the master cylinder is defective or the rear brake wheel cylinders. I would not think the latter would be the culprit because the symptom would be less than you describe. One thing to check is your rubber brake lines. If one is defective inside it will swell when the brake is applied and then the fluid pressure would not effectively reach the calipers. Again, not sure if the effects would be as pronounced as you describe. So I would start with the master cylinder because a defective internal seal or plunger would definitely make pronounced effects.

The ABS system requires to be bled by a computer. Some people have had luck turning the ignition key to on while bleeding the brakes. I turned the key on when I bled my trucks brakes and I was able to get it good enough to limp the truck to a shop so that it could be properly bled.
