Confused about my 2016 tacoma

Q. The model i have is a SR5 XP With 17"black rims and BFG A/T OH AND IT'S 2WD. Now on the carfax and on the vehicles paperwork it says SR5,TRD,SPORT so ok I've seen online tacoma with the SR5 badging but mine is a chrome XP badging yes it has the side steps and chrome exhaust am i equivalent to the TRD SPORT or do i have either better features due to the 17s off road tires and rims or Again its 2wd .from what I read consumer reports said its not worth the Xtra $$ for TRD SPORT and I'm not sure but possibly along with the above models I think the trd off road 2wd ? I've never owned a foreign truck B4. I always stuck with full size pickup Rams 4x4 but I didn't want anything big however I would like to know with honesty did I get a good package considering i really don't see these for sale BUT SAW ONE FOR SALE SAME YEAR AND XP BUT CLAIMED TO BE A TRD SPORT but no fake hood scoop ttm people

I just got it so I'm paid hell of lot less than what it went for new plus a I've been a BFG FAN FOR ABOUT 30 YEARS On my previous trucks and just put new BFGs on my Wrangler so the only difference is that the TRD SPORT HAS A DIFFERENT SHOCK ABSORBER .When these tires wear out still will stick to BFGs and replace the shocks with Fox shocks can't b o wrong with that

Correct. When the factory shocks blow, put some rebuildable coilovers on it.



also, welcome. It’s not uncommon for people to post “confusion” after buying a Tacoma from some janky ass dealership that invents trim levels.

This becomes a significant problem if you’re in Texas, they have an edition for everything.

Right. And then cboy101 makes custom edition stickers (which are cool) but then people see them and they are dying to know which dealers have Pokémon edition in stock. And the answer is NOBODY has the Pokemon edition in stock. No one

 

Yep. Great to people to people in the know, but come a few years and 3 owners down the road, people are gonna have to search by VIN, otherwise it's Pokemon editions and...wait...the Crippled Edition

yes it is. It was premium and we paid extra for it. Just don't go looking in the backseat
