i am very new here , but i have been working on this tacoma for a long time , i have replace the front actuator twice lately thinking that i had gotten a bad one, still does the same thing , i have checked every thing that has been mentioned on here , i am now getten power to the 4x4 side of actuator when the selector in dash is engaged , front end locks in, all 4 tires pulling , but when turn back to 2wheel drive there is only a blink of power at the actuator , not enought to lock out of gear, any one know how i can check for this problem, also i have unplugged the front actuator and the trnsfer works perfectly in and out with out turning key off, please anyhelp would b appreciated

OP, I see that no one has yet replied so let me give it a shot.
Do you have an VOM meter and a little experience with the thing? And can you easily locate the major parts involved, you obviously have found the ADD actuator? If so I can send you some diagnostics. You may have to PM me to get my attention as I do not frequent the forum much.
