Don't order from AutoAnything, they sent me the wrong kit TWICE. Finally ordered from somewhere else.

Daystar cradles work great with the Firestone bags. Mine have been getting abused for over 4 years.

I know this post is super old but... is there a certain part#/cradle for our trucks? Or are they all the same?

thinking of running the setup you’re talking about.

I just bought a new/uninstalled set from another member, hoping to install them Monday. Planning on running 5-10psi everyday (topper, shelf, tools in bed)
    Edit: with Daystar cradles

I run 5 psi in them "unloaded", just to keep from damaging them and so they act as bump stops.

With my HD Dakars, I almost never need air in the bags. I have a heavy AF fiberglass topper with a bunch of other shit in the bed at all times - around 400 pounds or more. My main concern is bottoming out my B110s.

    None?
I realize this post is old. Could anyone give me pros and cons for bags? I just found out mine has bags with the help of this forum. I'm not sure what brand they are, and haven't touched them for the 10ish years I've had my taco.

To bet installed: bling grill, headlights, fog lights.
I think post 2 covers most of what you are asking.

maybe try 5PSI, then 10, them 15, and so on. See if you have a happy spot. Then keep in mind that you can add some air when hauling stuff. You should probably find out who made them and see if that leads you to the minimum and maximum air pressure. They’re probably at 0 now. Hopefully they hold air.

I’ve never had air bags but had the 1970’s version, air shocks. I loved those. Had the truck in the Philippines and loaded it with bamboo up to the topper roof. Bamboo was so long it drug on the road. I maxed the pressure before leaving based on the description. Couldn’t shift to 2nd gear because I’d loose steering control. Almost no weight on the front tires. So off we went at about 10 MPH. Rough roads and it didn’t bottom out.
