If you already have some, I'm assuming they are 4"? Would you like a different size? Or sizes?

Making a few assumptions, it looks like shipping is about $10.

Phew. Had a few. Slept wayyyy late. Then self isolated with the husband on some backroads.
Decided I’d better reply before I get too far into this evenings drink...

    3” would be perfect.

Bored, can't sleep. I like the puddle lights on the mirrors when you disarm your alarm but they are not all that bright.

I thought why not add more light? I bought cheap $25 for 4 CREE lights then started making an angled bracket to mount on the sliders.

First test in gold so it can be seen on a camera. Finished will be black.

I plan on using a relay and tapping into the puddle lights in the mirrors.

I have been working the last few weeks with our department and some firms, hospitals, and health centers to design and prototype for them.

We made a face shield that requires no printing, only cuts so production takes about 1 minute a part. I'm working on masks and ventilator parts now and servicing all the printers and lasers to keep them going in the absence of everyone else on off hours so we don't cross paths with anyone else working.

    http://today.ku.edu/2020/03/31/designers-pitch-make-open-source-face-shields

Here is the face shield. Its open source if anyone wants to make one, and can get the material (I can"t anymore). Quick tip, remove some of the lines from the holes for the head band to make them tabs not holes and it still functions just cuts faster. I modified the run we made, but they don't ask me about final product.... PHD doesn't follow my name.

Hello all , I posted this in another place also and I am not sure if this is the place to ask but , are there people here that can take a sample part (gear with some teeth missing ) and scan it , and print it in plastic for me ? Maybe print it in metal ?
My wife has several out dated knitting machines from Passat and parts are VERY hard to come by if at all . The gear is less than 1.5x1.5x1.5 inches . Thanks .

@Taco16LB - do you happen to have a picture of what the gear looks like?

if you have the gear measurements, printing one shouldn’t be hard. Once you have a prototype, you can cast a new metal one from that. There are a few places that do laser bonded aluminum printing, but I think the casting from a mold into bronze or aluminum often gets a stronger part.

of course if you know the part fits you could have a new one milled by a machine shop based on the design as well.

Hello , My wife found a place to buy the gear ( auxiliary wheel ) for the Passap Electronic 6000 . Hopefully they really have it . For some reason she stripped the teeth off and does not know why and I hope she finds out before all the gears are gone lol. They stopped making these machines 10 or 20 ? years ago .
Thanks for the reply , and we may need help yet . I will put up a pic and dimensions if it comes to that .
