I made a carrier bearing drop and painted my skids. Did it the right way for once. Washed, sanded, cleaned with mineral spirits, self etching primer, multiple coats of some cheap flat black (on that quarantine budget), and a top coat of truck bed liner for the front skid.
How long yall think until I scratch the shit out of them.

Each one has thier own application. Theres no doubt that a properly set up shackle flip will flex awesome, it's been done on countless other veichles. For go fast offroading I would definitely do hammer hangers. I'm building my truck for slower crawling and need to keep up with fully built jeeps on 37s-40s. I've already bent my factory hangers and would like to eliminate the factor of hitting and possibly breaking a hanger on the trail. There's not much to a shackle flip and getting replacement parts for it is alot easier than ordering an archive kit and waiting for it to be made. Or go with bamf which I've already seen a bolt back out and had a possibility for the leaf spring to fall out.

Per the bolt backing out, assuming the person who installed the hanger was at fault, right? Or are you saying it is the design?

When I read this I was sold on inverted hangers versus flip. Jberry knows his shit. About to install some hangers and deavers next check or so. A lot of guys around here run them and are crawling.

Sua is more for go fast wheeling. For my application I would end up dragging the leaf springs on the rocks constantly so no I won't be going SUA. Again hangers have thier purposes but I will go with a shackle flip for my specific use. My truck is a toy for me and I'm not concerned about on road performance as much as off-road.

I'm not sure whether the bolt backing out was the hanger or more of lack of lubrication and proper torque spec. But the fact that (On bamf) the nut is boxed in and not accessible made me dislike the hangers. The bolt was mangled when we got it out and we had to grind down the tip so we could get some usable threads and still cross threaded it into the nut in the hanger. If it wasn't boxed we could have easily gotten a new nut and bolt, like OEM hangers or like archive garage, and been done alot sooner.

I like hammer hangers I think thier a great product for most TW members because most people use thier truck differently than I do.

Bought these leds couple of years ago and finally got around to doing this mod. Not sure why I waited so long. Needles were still jacked up in photo, but have since been fixed.

I went ahead and did a lil something today to the old girl to get her one step closer to the ultimate goal.
Picked up this 60/40 rear seat delete platform (I only needed the 60 part because I still have to carry a car seat) from an awesome dude in Dallas as he prepares to go big with CNC machined ABS plastic that will be molded into perfection Tacoma seat delete kits.
His future product had me too excited so I have to play around with this platform in the meantime so that I can start laying the ground work for what I’m going to install and how to best layout the interior of my truck for some adventures and camping trips here in the near future.

I never liked the orange, but as time went on it really started to look dated.

Installed a URD MAF calibrator to compliment the recent engine upgrades. Very noticeable changes. Yes I used masking tape temporarily as my electrical tape always disappears :D

Does it self communicate with the mass airflow and correct what it is reading or do you need to tune it yourself based on its reports? I have a CAI and exhaust and think it is running a little rich.
