Does anyone have an opinion about using Treadwright "remolded" tires? I've asked a few people about them and I'm not getting many positive responses. I like the price and style, but am a bit concerned about the reliability. Opinions?

I think you already have your answer or you wouldn't be asking.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
Back in the day retreads/remolded were the way to go for CHEAPNESS, yes they worked and held up for the most part. Generally they were put to use where they would not be stressed too much.
BUT, if you value safety and peace of mind, spend the extra for a good solid new tire.
Even today a lot of big rigs still go the reused way, even seen a concrete alligator?

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
They work great for local use (think cabs in the city) or farm vehicles.

I had the Guard Dogs on a Jeep years ago. They seemed fine to me. But with all the cheap tires available today I wouldn’t waste your time with them. If you can’t afford something top tier, look for some of the sub brands owned by the big tire companies.

I could see them for a farm vehicle but otherwise buy new. Tacoma tire sizes aren’t expensive anyways.
