Just flashed base 2.0 91. Feels like a fish bite miss, gonna idle for 5 and test drive. Thanks ovtune.

 

Almost 100 miles and I like this tune! No complaints - I like the tip in. I did reset values as Mat asked.

 

Dongles are history. They are at this point useless. You need to send it back to Mat for free VF software. Read page 1.

 

I used techstream.
Using Obd2, you need to know how to interpret statuses of 0,1,2

 

What setting is this in? That'd be interesting to monitor

 

So jealous right now. Patiently waiting for ‘19 tune to be released.

 

Haha finally got mine working. This is awesome. Just 87 2.0. Seems perfect!

 

It is not exclusively direct injection.

Port injection is still used in some areas, as I explained.
Idle still uses port and Toyota's injector cleaning cycle still exists.

I'll keep eyes on it. This one was 10 miles drive. Other short ride had 4 switches.
I was idling on the long light and it caught my attention

 

Flashed the 87 Octane 2.0 final onto my 2017 TRD OR & cleared LV / AT.
There was some pretty violent idling and shifting the first few miles but after driving OVER 100 miles now with the tune, the idling/violent shifting have ceased.

Attached are 2 videos.
•The first video "0-35 MPH 1-5th Gear Shifts.zip" is what to expect with very LIGHT throttle is applied. The truck will shift into 5th gear at 35 MPH, bringing RPM's to 1,000'ish.
•The second video "5th Gear at 35 MPH.zip" is me switching over to S mode to prove the truck is at 5th gear at 35 MPH.

I don't know if I'm alone on this but the truck will upshift when going slow making a 90° turn onto something like a street and lug the engine...it's just kind of an annoyance.

Someone I think had mentioned new files in an earlier post. Has there been new 2.0 Final files re-uploaded?

@OVTune I think this tune is going to make a lot of people happy. I just ran about 150 miles on the 91 stock gears 33t. Tip in for me is absolutely perfect. Might be a little aggressive for others, but it moves my 33s nicely from a stop. I no longer have the random short shifts that I would get on 19800. Idle is smooth. Shifting is smooth. Holds gears for the right amount of time. I think it's a winner.

 

Which version 87 did you flash

In reference to your above post,
for the base 2.0 files you released today:
Does 87 octane refer to regular?
And 91 octane refer to premium?

Are today's released 87 octane and 91 octane tunes two completely different tunes?
Or are they just starting points to accelerate the learning process as some have posted?

Sorry, it is getting confusing again.

 

The octane / ignition setup is like this.

If you plan to use regular / non premium gas.
That is octane 85 to 89, use 87 OL

If you plan to use premium, that is octane 90 to 94, use 91 OL

I will rename them like the MT files.

Matt, Its obvious that the 04B04 2.0 guys are slackers.
If you want some testers, that know how to put on quick miles, release the Kraken to the 04A61 crowd.

 

Are these in Flash manager or Beta paige? Or are they the links you posted ov? And I purged and updated I have 1.3.3. Is this correct? It gives me error every time I Download no matter what tune I choose. Thanks
