Cleared out the headlights on my 2nd Gen. Like i said, I miss the clear lights from back in the day. This was back 2006-2007.

One of my co-workers got pulled over couple years ago for having all clear headlights and tail lights. Gotta get red reflectors for the tails, and amber for the fronts. But here’s one post I found on the forum:

“Not to crap on this, but I just want to make all potential buyers aware that federal law requires that the rear of the vehicle be equipped with two "Red Reflex Reflectors". OEM tail lights have the red reflectors built in, but since these are clear, they do not comply. If you want to run these legally, you would have to affix two red reflectors on the rear of your vehicle. Essentially two red bike reflectors stuck somewhere on the rear of your vehicle.”

Yeah in Kauai. I figure Oahu going be more strict like with recon? Idk lol

yeah idk, get plenty guys over here running em like that, but I heard they are getting rid of Recon now. Probably gonna mess up the safety check system tho.

Oh nah? Well the quote that I added says just gotta have red reflectors anywhere on the rear. Idk if you like chance that for keep the tails clear?

yeah I just read the laws, and you need two reflectors, but I think I’m just gonna buy a pair of aftermarket ones and strip the reflectors out and see what happens. I’ve done some illegal mods even without recon and never got pulled. *knock on wood*
