I'm looking to upgrade my suspension and lift my 2017 Tacoma about 2" and was wondering what a good set up is for around $1500 or under. The truck is my daily driver and I do some light-moderate off-roading with a RTT on my bed.

Old man emu or Dobinsons are quality kits that even the australians use to carry heavy loads through the outback

Not that I have any room to talk since I’ve not lifted my truck yet but I’m looking at the 6112/5160 setup from Headstrong with the 3 leaf AAL. There are 6 notches to have them set at depending what you want. HS is working on a redesign to the AAL set so its direct bolt on without having to cut the stock leaf (brace?). There is a lift chart at the bottom of that page to show the different notches.

On my 2nd OME setup with no complaints. Ran the first one for 7 years before trading the truck on my new one.

Keep in mind you may want to consider new rear springs or an add a-leaf. What does your rack, RTT and all additional gear weigh? It adds up fast.

Been researching for a some time about lifts for around that price and I think I will be going with Dobinsons once its time that I need to do a lift. I have heard their rear leaf spring packs are quiet (unlike the OME Dakars) and they have some good choices if you are adding some extra weight.
