I took delivery of a 2020 Tundra 1794 Crew Max / TRD Off Road this morning.

The dealer was Larson Toyota of Tacoma.

The entire Silver Sky Metallic paint job had a minor but noticeable Orange Peel condition and it was noticeable to the touch I refused delivery. The Sales Guy tried to tell me that is was normal. The sales manager was a piss ant and stormed off mad.

I suggest that they do a simple cut & buff to solve the problem. And they agreed.

It would appear that a little Orange Peel is the new norm for Toyota Trucks.

    Just a heads up!...............Mac

Orange peel on a new vehicle is not news. Niche-market sports cars are not immune to it, let alone a mass-produced pickup truck regardless of the price. Your best bet is a paint correction specialist instead of the dealership body shop or detailing department which would just ruin the paint. When I took deliveries of my '20 Supra LE and my '20 Tacoma, I strictly told them not to touch them and I work for the dealership.
