Thoughts and opinions on THIRD BREAK LIGHT set-up

Discussion in '2nd Gen. Tacomas (2005-2015)' started by NavyDiver72, Jul 12, 2019.

?

Which configuration would be better?

  1. All 4 RED KC Cyclone lights - ALL BREAK, NO CARGO LIGHTS

    15.0%
  2. Two RED KC Cyclone lights and Two White Diffused KC Cyclone lights

    60.0%
  3. Nah, leave it stock

    25.0%

    Awesome! Thanks.

I’ll let you know how it goes - it’s a very good beginning, @MESO will be able to make me that bezel. So once it’s done and the panel fiberglass and dying, etc is complete I’ll be ready to go to do the setup OEM style with the THREE relays. It will all work out in the end.

Thanks for all your help, I’ll keep you posted!

A better way than post #70

SPDT Switch tied to RC Cyclone Lamps for ON-OFF- Red's disconnected from the Room Lamp selection (Door-OFF-ON) and Red's always have BRAKE select priority through the relay.

So here it is the TEMP install!!! Hopefully @MESO will be able to find a solution for me like he always has. Once that happens, I’ll go with the 3 position OEM cargo lamp switch.

For the time being the cargo lights come on with the map/dome combo that I have. The third break light comes on when breaking.

    What?:drunk:
Unlock, wait for lights to go out then open door before it locks again...film the KC.
Inside, turn cab light OFF- KC's go OFF also.
Turn Cab Light ON, Close door see KC ON also...(don't lock yourself out)

Looking sweet man. I have the KC ones too. Still have to install it tho. What did you use as a gasket? Also did you think about using DSIMs rock light module to wire the bed lights? That’s what I’m going to do. Also those puddle lights look sick.

Used the OEM Toyota gasket. Got it from the stealership. I like to keep all the installs as OEM looking as possible.

I agree on that as well. Do you have a part number by chance?
