    I have got a 4 cylinder 2011 Toyota short bed and would like to know where the oil filter is located and how to access it. I've got a skid plate underneath by the oil pan and some plastic guards in the wheel wells. Would I have to remove both of these or just 1 to get at the filter to change it. Thanx.

    If I am not mistaken the 2.7L filter is located where the 1st Gen 2.4 was. If you want to avoid removing skid plates down below, you might be able to elevate the front of the truck - remove RF tire - then access filter thru that side. Any road block from that point will need to be removed before you can see the filter.

    BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Lay on your back behind the passenger side front wheel and slide underneath. Look up and you’ll see the filter. You can access it going straight up through the control arm. While laying on your back and using your left hand turn counter clockwise to loosen. Good luck! 3C8D6E48-F3DA-4051-BF4D-694DE1D26E8E.jpg
