Thanks for confirming that it is working as designed and your valves were cleaned at start up as mat said 10 pages ago. If you’d like it the same as stock, you are free to adjust via vf.

looks like we can move on now and all rest easy knowing our trucks are ok.

Nice, Vlady's data verifies the cold engine start PI cycles, no question there.

Now, let's try and capture the 'ECU calculated injection cleaning cycles' with Tech Stream. Once that happens, all will be well with the world...

There is nothing wrong with a little 'trust, yet verify' mentality on the thread.

Anyone else getting a weird delayed startup? @OVTune I'm ~120 Miles in and on cold start there's a skip / delay. A minute one but still noticable. Only on cold start

    How cold? Roughly.

Also want to remind everyone. 2.0 update is optional. Don't like it, don't use it.

And the point was to provide feedback.

    Like ~60*

ETA: Still a fish bitey rougher idle too. None of it is outrageous, but still noticable

Engineering explained did a video on the Italian tune up and found it did not increase temps enough to do anything

Just a FYI so we have something else to talk about besides people's port FI feelings.

Also when I flashed this I let it idle for a quite a bit. Like 15-20 mins before I test drove. Other than that this tune has been perfect. Beautiful tip in and great on the hwy

Is there a stated idle time that we're supposed to follow? I only idled mine for like 2-3 minutes.

I’d guess you just need some more miles for things to fully settle in. There’s been sometimes where it’s taken up to 400 ish miles for it to completely sort everything out. I’ve personally had it happen a couple times.

Not that I've seen officially, but another member told me to idle for 5 mins. I have an inkling that it stemmed from some debugging in the earlier tunes.

10 minutes is the recommendation, not a requirement. It just helps speed up the initial learning procedure after flash / reset. Some trucks it makes more of a difference than others.

for those of us that are concerned about carbon build up, we could periodically flash back to an earlier 2.0 beta that has the toyota designed pi/di process and drive for a while to "clean". just a thought.

True. I'll keep on eye on it. I'm still driving every day for work so it shouldn't be too long. I'm thinking 2.0 performance is gonna be the we knees and right where I settle on

Yup. At one point we never did them.

some trucks don’t properly clear values after a flash which is the reason for lv resets.

some trucks would get all sorts of unpredictability for the first tank of gas (400ish miles), the 10 minute idle learning reduces a lot of that.

Would it be as simple as copy/pasting the pi/di from 2.0 Beta to 2.0 final via VfTuner?

Makes sense. ECU is seeing a ton of "new" inputs and it's trying to baby giraffe it's way to stability.
