Tailgate Handle Painted!

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has painted the tailgate handle, if you can post picture to see how it looks that would be great. I was thinking of painting it to match the truck color and maybe leaving the "toyota" in black. Thoughts?

 

Vinyl sticker overlays, quick google search will get you the pics you want.

 

I dont like the vinyl overlays, they don't last long. My idea is to paint the whole handle to match the truck and perhaps leave the toyota logo in black. I haven't seen anyone doing this as of yet.

 

I haven't seen this. Mine matches my truck already so have no desire to do it myself but would be interested to see it done.

 

I've had similar thoughts, except to leave the handle black and paint the letters to match the truck. So far the idea is still in the "more trouble than it's worth" category.

 

I hear ya. My idea came from seeing other trucks brand with the handle painted and looking very good! I was wondering if anyone had done it to the Taco. Here is a picture of someone doing it to a Tundra, looks a lot cleaner.

It seems like this a common mod for the Tundra in other forums, I've seen plenty by now, lol.

 

Did you end up doing this? Curiosity is piqued. Was thinking to do this as well..pretty cheap mod and would clean up the tailgate from a giant black blob in the middle

 

pull it off the truck, take out the camera and lock cylinder, use paint-matched spray paint in a hobo-house, and have fun.

 

You are correct, those would be the instructions! Haha
