    Hello,

I will change my coolant fluid this week, however the toyota dealer in my country does not have toyota super long life coolant anymore

Does anyone ever tried prestone toyota coolant in their 4.0 V6? Will go for it instead of the OEM if you recommend me

    Thanks guys

Honestly, prestone green is the same thing but cheaper. Prestone makes coolant for almost 99% of the manufacturer's and then makes it the color the manufacturer wants. Spoke with my friend who works at toyota and Prestone. They wont void warranties as well using green. As long as it's not DeX cool (orange), u good to go. Walmart has a bottle for like 12 bucks. Buy a gallon of distilled water and mix 50/50. Boom two gallons.

Green can be used no problem. Just be ready to change it sooner than the original stuff.

Toyota pink is made by Aisin, not too hard to source online for cheaper than Toyota

How can you tell when coolant needs to be changed, pink, orange, or green?

I typically stick to the manufacturer’s recommended service intervals. For the V6 4.0 engine Toyota recommends 100,000.
