This is awesome! I've been here once in my life about 10 years ago. I've since lost contact with the friend that took me out here and I never knew the name. Had to google it to make sure it was same place and sure enough it is. We had our way down the tracks following the river quite a ways made our way through shrubs and a trail. Starting on way back, we came across a small rattlesnake. That made usstop dead in my tracks. Luckily we were able to locate it under a small bush off the trail and we avoided it. If either of us had been bitten, being so far out, it wouldn't have ended very well.

Will have to make it a mission to head there when all this is done and over with.

I wanted to hike down to take more photos, but I was on my own and it was getting dark so I decided not to. I have not explored Eastern Washington much so I plan on it while I'm out here.

2) Found a random dirt road (without signs) that went up the mountain side. Come to find out we were on the damn ski trails. Pretty epic surprise.

I work on a hydrographic survey ship. A few years ago, I surveyed that whole park, under the bridge and more. Really awesome currents over there.
