50t rear sprocket installed on the stock 114 link chain. Just a hair tight, on the edge of specs for being tight but im going to give it a try. I flexed the suspension on the ground and it still seemed loose enough. I have another chain on the way just in case

Nice! I just picked up a 2015 YZ450f. Already got the GYTR tuner. I'm very new to bikes so I set the map to the slippery conditions map, and it helped me out with the smooth on throttle. Curious what map you use for the track vs. what you use for offroad if you do offroad it. These YZs are tits.

I use that map all the time. this bike has so much low end grunt that it doesnt need a hard hit throttle response.

congrats too! i love mine, just sometimes wish i had e-start!

Yeah, electric start. I just about killed myself with the kickstart the other day. It's different kick starting it when you start your ride, but at the end when you're completely worn out from riding, different story. The F's didn't have e start until 2018. Launch control in 2017. It's amazing how much technology is built into a dirt bike these days. I love it. I just received the Scott's steering stabilizer today. Can't wait to feel what it does for the bike. I pretty much completely ride in open desert out here and there's rocks and ruts everywhere, and rabbits. The stabilizer is a bit pricey, but from what I've researched, everyone says it's worth it's weight. I got the over-bar kit. I want to keep the bars low for stability, and keep it easy to adjust.
It's still sooo much cheaper to mod a bike than our trucks! You get the fun of modding, without the empty bank account.

Thats the truth! The fx was available back in 2015. I wish i would have bought it for the small price difference. But i took what was available and bought mine the week after the 250f i bought a few months earlier blew up.

I still need to go put on my baja designs headlight too.

Changed out the stock taillight for the 12oClock Labs integrated DRC edge 2. One captured nut came loose so one corner of the plastic isnt all the way tightened down...ugh.

been a minute since i updated this thread.

bought a new 2020 KTM 300xcw in september 2019. ive taken it on a few rides and even went to moab this feb (2020).

rocking plenty of protection stuff and rk tek head as my only performance mod.

absolutely love this bike. It's my first two stroke and i cant imagine going back to a 4t for trail riding with how easy this bike is to ride. its more nimble and feels lighter than my 450f ever did while riding. the fuel injection is on point and makes it super easy without any jetting. no premix either since it is oil injected as well. So far i have 282 miles/18.6 hrs on it.
