Friday comes a day early. Welcome too the forum, and your truck already came with a Cold Air Intake from the factory. Be prepared for all the Snake Oil stories about MPG Gains, Performance Gains etc. Keep what you have and spend money on a useful mod unlike an Aftermarket Cold Air Intake.

I've had them on two stock stick shift vehicles, a 4runner and a stock tacoma and they definitely increase the throttle responsiveness due to the higher flowing air filters. Horsepower is not gonna increase. Have an intake on a sc'd truck now and you do get a hp increase as well.

As others have said, your truck comes with one. Just get a high flow filter for it and it will perform better than an intake kit unless you have forced induction. Trust me, I put an intake on my truck and now I'm debating going back to stock with a high flow filter. You get colder air than with a "cold air" intake on these trucks.
