black chrome pitting / pitted

    morning
    i hava 2019 with black chrome exhaust tip = anyone having a issue ?
    @3k miles i noticed pitting = i emailed toyota 2-23 made a incident report
    have contacted them back twice now
    been to dealership once @ my 5k they took a picture and said they would contact toyota
    went back again few days ago and talked to service again came out took picture ...no body does are says anything
    my 1st toyota = is this what i should expect

    Interesting. I have a ‘17 and got tired of the chrome and sprayed mine semi-gloss black with Krylon over a year ago and it still looks great!

    Got the same thing, 2019 white pro, black chrome exhaust tip pitting. Tried various metal cleaners, none worked. I do have mud flaps. I'm not to worried about it, but it sucks.

    What type of Krylon did you use? Did you just spray the stock exhaust tip or did you put on a tip and they spray?

    I'm not all into the black out look, but that's a damn good idea. My exhaust pipe is ugly as fuck, and would blend in good painted flat or satin black.

    I've not painted anything exhaust since the late 70's when everyone was painting their headers white.

    It's pitted on my 19 as well and I have mudflaps. It was pitted before it even went through it's first winter up here.

    they have a pre-owned pro at reliable toyota = my town
    it has 7k miles = i went and looked = its black chrome tail pipe is pitted
    is this a toyota black chrome issue ?
