Rust on a 2020?

    2021 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4.
    So I was removing the rail system off my super white 2020 TRD sport to install a Paragon Bed cover and i found this, i know it isn't much but i feel like there shouldnt be any on a 2020.

    It’s covered under your rust perforation warranty just put in a claim.

    Can’t tell 100% from your photo, but going to say Rail dust. Get a clay bar and try to rub it off.

    Wrong. "Perforation" is the key word Toyota uses . No rotted holes right through no coverage.

    The “surface corrosion” is a covered repair under the perforation warranty. The dealer said I was wrong as well because they don’t know jack shit about how a performance contract works. Toyota fixed my truck under that warranty. See photo clarity

    Looks like rail dust. I would try a rail dust remover first. I've had good luck with this: https://www.detailedimage.com/Ask-a-Pro/product-review-sonax-fallout-remover/

    You got a good service writer. Look at his cause. Paint failure. That's how he got it through corporate. Some dealers are good and will work with you while most wont and tell you it's normal. Just look at my avatar. And from his pic that will come off with clay or polish.
