Hey guys just need some help and input.
I am removing front 3 inch leveling kit. Putting in Bilstein 5100. I want to retain the same lift height I had with the leveling kit. But 5100 is only 2 inch lift adjustment.

But I’ve been hearing that 3 gen tacoma already have 1 inch lift stock. So by doing Bilstein 5100 with 2inch lift. It would be a 3 inch lift in the front. Is this correct?

TRD pro is 1 inch higher in the front due to the fox suspension. Your lift will be limited to what your suspension provides.

3rd gen comes with one inch more than 2nd gen. But 3 inches on a third gen is still 3 inches, that one inch only matters if you use second gen parts on a third gen or third gen parts on a second gen

5100s with OME coils can provide close to a 3” lift, not sure of the different coil numbers, but I think 887 is the common one. Check out headstrong off-road for clarification; they have charts that show the lift.

Suspension parts that quote lift height are absolute lift height, not incremental to stock. The TRD models come with 1" of lift, however if you replace them with something that provides a 2" lift, then you'll gain 1" incremental lift over stock. This is my understanding.

Was thinking of just leaving it the stock height on 5100 and leaving the leveling kit on.

I don’t know what you’re saying. Leave the spacers in or not?

I want to remove it. But maintain the same height as it had with leveling kit.

I just measure the front spacer and it only 1 1/2 in. I think I should be find just doing the 2 inch on shock. And removing leveling kit.

1.5” spacer gives 3” of lift

That’s what I got when ordered 3 in front and 2 inch rear kit. I was thinking that too.

I’ve learned a lot on here from lots of members. Just do your research on wanting to go that high. Control arms might be worth looking into. For proper alignment. I personally went 1.5” up front 1.5” AAL. maintained factory rake or close to it. It’s a truck. Good luck

Put it on the 5th perch, keep your OEM coils and it will sit perfect since you have a 2 inch block. That will give you a very slight rake. My son's dcsb is on the 5 th perch with a one inch rear block and it's level. It will ride the same as if your on the 1st or 3rd setting. Don't listen to people saying it will compress the coils, that's bullshit. The ride will be better than your spacer lift. Done it two my dclb and my son's dcsb. Both ride great, plus if you change your coils it will void Bilsteins warranty. It will align just fine and if you get any vibs it may need a front diff drop or a rear carrier drop. Hope this helps.
