Super Swamper SX

I bought a wheeler truck back in January with bias ply Super Swamper's, 95% tread. I was thinking about replacing the tires with a 37 1250 KM3 or similar mud tire for the occasional drive. The more I think about it I don't want to sink more money into the hobby truck. Plus I borrowed a set of used 35" Cooper mud tires and it didn't really drive that much better. Has anyone ran these tires on a light truck like a Toyota or Jeep? I'm curious how many miles to expect out of them, 10,000, 20,000 or in-between? I'm not trying to make commuter vehicle out of her, but if I leave it strictly to trailer queen status it will probably only move 4 or 5 times a year. I'm talking 1500, 2000 miles a year street mileage. I hate letting things sit.

And just drive it with the super swampers on it and don't worry about it. I daily drove my 4runner with swampers and got decent life out of them and the p/u is lighter.

 

That's what I was thinking, I might rethink if I had several people respond they got less than 10k out of a set. I was really surprised they didn't drive much worse than a set cooper mud tires at 40% tread.

 

Went for a 140 mile drive today. Checking to see if the mountain pass to the coast was open since I'm doing a raft trip next weekend. Looks like were taking the long way home. I was wishing I drove the Tacoma until I got to 3 ft of old snow.

Found this 2nd gen that some asshole burnt and left. So I took a pic by it

 

The truck rode really harsh with 23/17 psi in the tires. I let em down to 14/11 psi when I hit the snow and drove around the rest of the day much better. They still don't really squat at that level. If I'm strictly dirt I'll go right to 10.
