Hi there, one you bumper did you use 3/16 wall rectangle tubing. And what where the original dimensions, it looks to be about 3inch by 6 inch but I wasn’t all to sure. Thanks

 

Yes, It's 3/16th wall and you are correct, it's 3 by 6 inch.

 

So... I have access to my build thread again. So, I figure I'll update some stuff so I can continue to keep track of things.

Was able to finally get some maintenance done on my rig.

 

Found the leak on my T-case. Turns out the seals etc are fine. The base of the shifters is where the leak was coming from. I removed the shifters and resealed them. While I was in there I reshaped the shifters to make them fit in the bezel opening.

Here's what the shifters looked like before.

Resealing the shifter base. Also replaced the stock bolts with stainless steel allen socket bolts. (Those bolts are too close to the shifter base, making it a pain in the ass to get a wrench on them) Also, the new bolts are 10mm longer than stock to make up the difference in thickness between the twin stick base and the J-shifter base)



Here's what the shifters ended up looking like with the new boot on them.

 

Received the rest of the parts for the headlight conversion.

 

Started collecting parts to upgrade the mobile audio.

 

Been getting regular "Mail Calls" on my patches lately.

 

Finally found a deal on a HAM radio that I couldn't pass up.

 

Wow that is a lot of boxes for the headlights, looks like you could rebuild half the truck with that many boxes. I am working on getting my radio lic currently so would dig hearing what you think of the radio you picked after you have used it for a bit.

I've started my swap to manual on my DC. Waiting on my Marlin Crawler R150F and a few other items. Going to be really sweet. Your posts have helped a ton in the 4x4 conversion stuff also. Thanks for taking the time.

Also, why no more mod days? I miss stuff like that as some of the best parts of wheeling. Just too hectic? If so, I've been there. Maybe let someone else host or something.

Started doin some shit last night.

 

We painted the white LED bulbs across the bottom yellow. I have those wired as turn signals, so I figured it would look better if they flashed yellow.

Also, the chrome shrouds came out nice and black, after a treatment of oven cleaner.
