Here are some more suggestions to consider

    1. Is the trailer fuse a critical clue? Unhook your damaged trailer connector to rule that out as the source of the short. If the fuse still blows, then that tells you you probably have damage to that wiring bundle under the truck. Maybe there was a 6th shot, and that wiring caught a ricochet off the road.

    2. If you still have access to the fuel pump connector, I might suggest running a temporary wire from the relay / resistor to the fuel pump, just on the ground, to make sure the pump indeed turns on with the key. You will need to splice into the connector to do this, but it might save you from a vain search for a problem that isn't there.

    3. On the off-chance that it isn't the fuel pump wiring... check the ECU connector and pins carefully. A bullet isn't always a great wire cutting tool. Perhaps one of the wires got torn out of the crimp connector, or a pin came loose in the connector.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome and great suggestions. I'm hoping to have some good news by the end of the day.

    Thanks for those!

They're awesome. Water proof and pretty much fool proof. Some use a torch however it can easily melt the sleeve. I recommend a heat gun. You can hold it 1/4 inch away from the heat gun and it still wont get hot enough to melt the sleeve.

Thank you for the suggestions. Very valid points made! I'll take them into account. Diving head first in the truck today. I had a family thing come up yesterday so I wasn't able to work on the truck.

Update: Unplugged damaged trailer plug and the 30A trailer charge fuse still blows.
I'm going to start at the resistor and probe the fuel pump wire every few feet until I don't have voltage. This way I at least can narrow down the disconnect to a specific area.

    *UPDATE*

Runs and drives great now! No broken wires. In the drivers kick panel there are two plugs which are identical. I had them mixed up!

I now have drivers rear window, the trailer fuse does not blow anymore, and I have fuel.

    New Problems:

    I still don't have a horn.
My 4-LO Lights are flashing although the truck is definitely in 2-HI.
    Traction Off light

Horn and airbag light are probably a result of a broken spiral cable (clock spring). If the steering shaft was disconnected that would do it. If the shaft wasn’t disconnected, but the column with switches was spun, that would break it.

Haven’t read through the whole thread @FiveShotTaco. Has anyone asked yet to see pictures of the CK parked next to the Tacoma? Or the truck next to that, which I think may be a square body? Hard to tell on this small screen.

Airbag lights are off now. (front seats werent plugged int)
GOOD CALL! When the steering column was dropped to remove the dash the column with switches was probably spun.

I sold the 70' C20 2 or 3 days ago. I plan on Swapping the 83' scottsdale with LS3/6L80E from a 2010-2015 Camaro SS if I ever decide to part with the corvette. That'll be a tough one.

Glad to see you're making progress. That was a huge undertaking. It's always tough to put something back together that somebody else took apart. Good job.

I just installed a supercharger and I'm picking up relentless fab bumpers next Friday. I still might have to replace the harness because I have the P0332 CEL after replacing the knock sensor at the same time as the supercharger install and 4WD does not work even after soldering the front actuator conductors.
