Are roommates worth it in CO?

For those of you in CO, are roommates worth it due to the higher cost of living?
What's your success story?
Any advice?

I've been looking for some but I'll I've found so far is a guy saying I need to share his bed in a leather suit or something and that has not been one of my hobbies (free rent tho)

 

I would say yes, but finding the right fit is crucial..

I don't see this as a "Colorado" situation. A roommate is a roommate wherever you live, and rent is rent (either you can afford your own place, or you can't).

Maybe I'm missing something.

 

Depending where in Colorado there is a facebook group called Denver Roommates that I would recommend

Sometimes logic can not be applied to these types of threads.....

 

Earlier in life roommates were fine, I was more flexible. I am now old and grumpy and don’t want to deal with roommates eating my yogurt, drinking my liquor or touching the AV equipment. PS since this is a Colorado thread add smoking my dope.

 

There's always marriage... if you need a roommate.

 

Dang, how you do that? My dogs are terrible freeloaders. They don't pay their share of the bills, don't do the dishes, and after they eat their half of the groceries they still try to mooch off my plate.

Have a coworker that does the roommate thing. He owns his own house, but wants to put most of his paycheck to savings, the crazy responsible bastard. I asked him about it. He says its a crapshoot, even when doing an extensive interview process. For every one roommate thats tolerable, he has to go through five that aren't.

10 days. Or you could just take a quick trip to Alberquerque. Give them a donut, point at the balloons, and drive the fuck away. Let nature take its course.
