As far as Mat and I have discussed, only OFT for now. I'll ask (or maybe he'll comment here) regarding that.

I think a lot of people will be concerned about the pricing of credits. 5 credits are required to unlock an ECU, correct? And yet they're sold in packs of 4. The only way for it to be cost effective is to purchase 20 credits with the ability to unlock 4 ECUs. You're nearly there as far as cost effectiveness goes if you buy 16 credits, but you'll have one left over after unlocking 3 ECUs worth of tunes. Let me know if my math is off and I calculated this incorrectly.

This primarily only benefits people who have the luxury of offered flashing services to a local group of Toyota enthusiasts. This is what I plan to do. But what if instead I only wanted to be able to tune my 4runner? I'd have to buy 8 credits to then use only 5. Two "packages" worth of credits to only use one from that second purchase. 3 left over...and for what? It's a waste. Why not bundle them more appropriately or sell the credits individually?

Unlocking a ECU costs 4 credits.
You can buy credits 4 at a time, or enough to unlock 1 ecu at a time.

4 credits (or the cost to unlock 1 ecu) is $75

Regarding the part in bold. Does this mean that you will be including all files developed for each particular ECU version that were released and/or released for testing on a limited basis? I am particularly interest in having the 04B13 1.05 BFO test file included.

Hope a TSB doesn’t come out that upgrades ECUs afterwards! Something like 04A62!

Just don't have it applied! I think any update from Toyota would be inferior to Mats tunes anyway.

Some dealers are actually diligent and apply them as part of service appts.

You could always tell them not to apply any TSB. I'm out of warranty, so no reason for me to go back to the dealer. I've always had the opposite with dealers, you have to fight for them to do TSB.

That’s one route I suppose. My dealer is damn good, so I’ll keep using them when out of warranty/done with my “free” services.

My point was really if there was any plan in case a TSB is legitimately needed or done without asking...

I hear ya. Unfortunately you would prolly have to buy a new tune pack for the new ECU.

And if you were one of the first to be blessed with a new ECU update, it might take a while for Mat to get caught up to it . . . :annoyed:

Please don't waste Mat's time with questions like this, for a product that isn't even available yet. Every ECU will be different, as older ECU's will likely have had more tunes made for them. But in any case, Mat has stated that he can only provide the older tunes that he STILL HAS in his database for whatever given ECU version.
