Thoughts/advice

So it's probably been 20 years since I did anything car audio wise other than a basic headunit or speaker upgrade. I've decided to change that and upgrade the sound in my '15 DCLB and would love some thoughts or advice from those of you who have more experience/expertise than I do in this area. All of the Google searching in the world can't replace real world experience.
My current setup is the factory radio (non JBL) and I installed some Kicker 43CSC674 6 3/4" speakers in both the front and rear doors and matching Kicker 43CST20 tweeters up front.
I plan to add the following:
-AudioControl LC7i line converter. Hoping to be able to fit this inside the very front of the center console
-Sound Ordnance B-8PTD. Planning to mount this under the passenger seat
-Sound Ordnance M75-4. This will either go under the passenger seat with the sub if there is enough room, or under the driver seat
-I've also ordered a Metra t-harness to be able to run signal to the line out converter
Once I figure out where everything will actually live I'll order the rca cables and also plan on running new speaker wire from the amp. I realize that the amp and sub aren't super high end but I think they will be fine for what I'm looking to get out of them.
Any thoughts or advice on the mounting locations for any of the components or install in general is greatly appreciated.

 

I would go with something like the

$280 rockford P300-8P punch 8" 300-watt amplified subwoofer in ported enclosure - slim design for tight spaces - black

rockford P300-8P for a self powered sub.

If you decide to go with something that goes under the passenger seat, you'll probably have to eliminate the vent that is under the seat to give you the extra room you need. I put a CB/Ham radio "brain" under the seat of a customers truck and had to remove/cut it and plugged it up with some sound deadening material.

 

I’d suggest getting some black cutting boards on Amazon to make your amp racks and adding risers to clear the vents if there’s room. Check out five star car stereo, dean and fernando’s car stereo clips on YouTube for ideas.

 

I looked at a few other options for the sub. Went with the

$190 B-8PTD 8" Powered Subwoofer

B-8PTD because I wanted to put it under the seat and it was one of the shorter ones I found. Didn't realize there was anything under there that would get in the way. I'll have to pull the seat tomorrow or Tuesday and take a look.
