Hey anyone with a full stereo upgrade and Dsp found any difference between the output of the front vs rear speakers from the factory head unit?

I'm trying to decide which output to use for my dsp. I have listened to both and have found the front speaker outputs sound better but have significantly reduced bass so my sub barely fires under 40hz. The rear speaker output seems to have full range bass but quality is reduced for rest of the speakers.

I assume signal for front and rear are eq differently in the factory HU so trying to decide which one is best for use.

Any information on this is greatly appreciated!

I’m not sure if this is directly applicable but when I used dsp I eliminated the rear channels and used the 4 channels for front woofers and tweeters...much better imaging/staging this way. Vocals are almost perfectly placed front and center.

I paid someone to do the settings so don’t know about the how it was done though.

Also - some dsp can recreate the front speaker bass dip.

Front channels have very significant bass boost, rear channels have significant bass drop. Rear channels also put out almost no power.

I upgraded my rears with focal access 165ac. The rear speakers have almost no power output and no bass. It really isn’t worth upgrading those speakers in my opinion.

Yeah I found that the factory signal to the rear speakers was very poor. My DSP takes the front and rear signals, mixes, and gives you a new output for all speakers. Doing this provides me with fantastic sound from rear upgraded speakers.
