Install went seemless (use a lot of PB Blaster and WD-40 on nuts, bolts, and in between hub and knuckle, let it sit and penetrate) hub assemblies are beautiful and flawless. Passenger front wheel sound gone, steering slop is gone, smooth drive feel. Thanks again 05Taco, will referral.

Ok I went through the first 10 pages and didn’t find my answer. Sorry I’m advance if this is a stupid question but:
What’s the so special about these in comparison to the generic ones from the big name auto parts stores?

 

I think you said it, they aren't generic. The bearing is NSK, which is OE for 3rd Gen. There's other Genuine Toyota parts in there.

 

... And you have hundreds (thousands?) of members on here, many of which run their trucks through the ringer on a regular basis, recommending and vouching for his product. I reckon you’d hear loud and clear if these didn’t work well. This with the ECGS were the 2 best additions to my truck.

 

You have a valid point. But a lot of people on Tacoma world are also sheep. Don’t need to always follow the herd. But doesn’t always mean that everything that everyone goes to is just for sheep. But after some videos and more reading I did decide to go with a set. I’m excited to get them on. I would say put them to the test but won’t have that chance for another year.

 

Good for you on the buy. Looking forward to your post install report! I can’t speak for others, but the wheel bearings and related seals are an area I’d like to change as infrequently as possible and have the confidence they’ll stand up to some abuse. I also did a ton of research and feel good that these may give me another 100k+ miles and 15 years or more.
